This is 22kt gold plated kada, a traditional bangle which is inspired by temple jewellery and is intricately detailed with graceful peacock motifs. The depiction of the bird in temple jewellery is significant one - as not only is the bird an artistic choice but also reflects spiritual, devotional and ceremonial association. The bangle uses the metal embossing technique which is very typical of temple jewellery which enables the detailed designs and depth to the jewellery.
Adding to the detailing of the beautifully crafted piece, is the use of Chatham Emeralds which not only add colour but enhances its glory.
